Discovering special effects make up was like magic to me, I realised I had the ability to create the things of fantasy and horror, things from my favourite films and dreams.
The special effects make up was something I practised in my school work, I really went into prosthetics in my A Level with a zombie make up that I am still immensely proud of.
It took me a long time to be able to afford to set up my professional kit but once I did the results of my endeavours improved tremendously. I fell in love with the art and created Masterpiece FX!
The face painting was also something I dabbled in during my GCSE years, a little here and a little there. It was a while before I really took myself seriously when it came to facepainting but eventually I invested in my kit and set up Little Masterpiece Facepainting. The best part of painting children's faces is the look of delight when they see their reflection and the finished design, there's nothing quite like that.
